The exemption exams for YDİ-101 (Foreign Language – English I) and YDİ-102 (Foreign Language – English II) for students newly admitted to our Faculty in the 2026–2027 Academic Year will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Students who will take the course for the first time and students who have previously taken but failed the course are eligible to take the exemption exams. Students who are retaking the course to improve their grades are not eligible to take the exemption exams. Even if these students take the exams, their exam results will be considered INVALID.
The exemption exam for YDİ-101 Foreign Language – English I and YDİ-102 Foreign Language – English II consists of two sections, each containing 20 multiple-choice questions, for a total of 40 questions. Questions 1–20 cover Foreign Language – English I (YDİ-101), which is offered in the Fall Semester, while questions 21–40cover Foreign Language – English II (YDİ-102), which is offered in the Spring Semester. The total exam duration is 50 minutes. Each section will be assessed separately and independently.
Each student will take the exam in the building of their respective academic unit. The classrooms in which the exams will be held will be determined by the relevant academic units and announced on their respective websites. Please follow your academic unit’s website for information regarding the exam classrooms.
Participation in the exemption exams is optional and not compulsory. Students who wish to be exempted from these courses may take the exams. Students wishing to participate in the exams must apply to their respective academic units.
